Ah, yes, the 4th of July. A good excuse to stuff one's face, hang out with family and friends, and have fun. Oh, and to celebrate the U.S.A.'s freedom, of course. God bless it. ='D

Anywho, I spent my FoJ weekend in Ohio, with my dad's crazy side of the family. I spent most of my time with my younger cousins, particularly jumping on this trampoline one of my older one's has. Those crazy kids wore me out. D= That, and spending every other second trying to claw for computer time. It was frustrating. Sometimes I'd get on, and my mom would nag me to come and interact with everyone, sometimes I couldn't get a signal, and one time, I had to resort to using my cousin's computer (The same one with the trampoline.), and God, was it slow. DX It's like, I'd rather be shot then have to wait that long. The drive back was torture, too. I couldn't sleep like I could on the way there, so I had to stay awake, finding any desperate attempt to amuse myself, and deal with it. Not to mention traffic and heavy-ass rain came out of nowhere once we actually got back into Tennessee. Those were a pain in the ass to work with. But we made it, safe and sound, and that's what matters.

In somewhat related news (Only because it happened on the 4th.), Steve McNair was killed. As if enough famous people I know haven't died already. D'= If you don't know him, then...well, you're a douche. Unless you're not into football and/or live outside of Tennessee, which is fine, because there's no way you could know him. Either way, I'll enlighten you. He used to play quarterback for the Titans, and he was pretty freakin' good at it, too. He could run, he could throw, he could play in pain, even though that didn't work out well at times, but still, he was good. He also did a lot of community service and had a lot of bonds with people and stuff. And he was only 36 when he died. Hell, he JUST retired last year. They're saying that he had an affair with this other girl who was found dead with him, but before you go, "OHAI, WAIT, HE CHEATED ON HIS WIFE, THE GUY'S A DOUCHE, HE DESERVED IT LOLOL," then think. Does one bad thing automatically spoil an otherwise good life? I mean, what about Michael Jackson? After all the pedophilia and being cookoo, everyone was still sad after he died, because other than that, he lived a good life and touched a lot of people with his music. Steve did the same thing with his football. He has a bond with the Titans, and football fans in general. Nothing can taint that. Nonetheless, some people will still try to judge him on the whole affair thing, and that's the case, fuck 'em. Did he do a stupid thing? Yes. He did a very, very stupid thing. A stupid thing that possibly costed him his life. I dunno, they're still investigating anyway. For all we know, he could've been trying to break it off and the girl did a murder-suicide thing. That's not the point, though. The point is that a good man was killed on a day that nobody should be killed in a situation that nobody should be killed over. I said GOOD, though, not perfect, 'cause nobody's perfect. Let him be remembered for the good, 'cause that's how he would want to be remembered, same with everyone connected to him.

Also, for the record, I'm not ripping on Michael Jackson. I'm just comparing his situation with Steve's, they're similar. Both became loved and famous, both had trouble in their lives, yet both were mourned despite their troubles. I believe MJ should also be remembered for the good. Please don't flame me. D=
